Is anyone going to Scarborough Renaissance Festival this weekend? I plan on going up from Houston. I was wondering so maybe we could meet, and if there is any camping allowed there.

Hey James. I don't think I'll be making it to Scarby this weekend unfortunately. This month is just too busy for me. Once upon a time, I think you could camp at faire, but alas no more. Don't remember the reason they stopped allowing it.

If you came up on the 23rd instead, you could join the DFW rabble for a kilt night, as well! I think that's when it's being planned this month.

my wife, daughter and i will be going up next weekend(9th+10th). yes there is camping.
there's a cottage to the left of the main entrance about 120 yards. if you meet there about 12:30, the scottish guard marches in the parade and is always happy to have "cousins" march with them... pikes in front, basket hilts in the middle, thenswords, and finally the womans aux. to the rear. they say that they are the only group known that participates in ren fairs that march with live steel. when i go, i always try to march with them
