St. Louis Scottish Games
Anyone else going to the StL Games in two weeks?
I'll be making a hurried trip up on Saturday from SW MO; stop by the Clan Cumming tent and say "G'day" if you're there. We'll be having our AGM that weekend.

Todd,
I am not completely sure if we will be traveling to (my hometown) of Saint Louis for the games this year - I will let you know as soon as possible. Reason being, is that we may attend the Stone Mountain games in Georgia later that month. I have always attended the games there in Saint Louis, and am good friends with the organisers (especially Jim McLaren - went to school with his sons), and it's always a top-notch production - with "true" Highland athletic competitions and superb piping. I am sure professional piper and instructor, Matt Pantaleoni will be there - he typically adjudicates the solo pipers. Last year at the games, we had perfect weather, and Forest Park (home of the 1904 World's Fair) is the ideal venue. Our favoutite wee pub, The Scottish Arms, is very closeby...which is critical, for those post-games pints and drams.
We would love to finally get together once again (even if you are a Comyn - lol! Just kidding!)!

Slainte,
Grumble, Grumble...land-stealing Macpherson.
I didn't realize you went to school with one of Jim's sons -- when I see him in February I'll be sure to mention that.

LOL! I attended Marquette High School in Chesterfield (where I grew up, and where my parents and sisters still reside) with Donald. Donald's younger brother also attended Marquette and worked at Dierberg's Marketplace in Chesterfield for a wee bit - he is now married...wow, how time does fly!!!

We, meaning Mickey, myself and Celt _Gravity Rebel as well as our daughter, are planning to go on Saturday provided my work gives me the day off as I've requested. Will be sure to look for you.

I'd like to go, not sure if we'll have the finances at the moment though...

Re: St. Louis Scottish Games
Apologies Todd, but we will not be attending the games in bonnie Forest Park this year. Wish we could have made it, but we simply have too much on our agenda at the moment. We hope to meet again sometime very soon! We will not be in Saint Louis until mid-November.
Best wishes,
