    Tartan Day on Ellis Island

This might be of interest to some of you who live in or around New York City/New Jersey or to those who are visiting the area during Tartan Week.
Clan Currie along with The National Trust for Scotland - USA Foundation and The Smithsonian Institution celebrates all things Scottish and opens Tartan Week with an exhibition “Scots In The American West”, which will be on view March 28-30, 2014

In past years along with an exhibition there have been celtic dancers and pipe bands on the grounds and in the exhibition area harp circles, fiddler and pipers. Tartandayonellisisland.com has information about this years show and past show with photography and other assets.

I know that several X-Markers will be on Ellis Island throughout the run of the exhibit. If you make it out there say hello. I'd love to post pics here later.

Will you be there on Friday, March 28? I hope so!
I'll be coming that day, doing a bit of Scottish dancing and a bit of kilt sewing on the side.
I'm looking forward to the exhibit !
