Our local Burns Night is on Jan 31st. And we are very excited as our town is actually named after Burns himself. Our local sporteams are the Burns Hilanders (yes..I know they spell it wrong and have done so for years) and the Scotties. Our group has been trying to reestablish the Scottish aspects of our town for a few years with Highland games and Burns nights and Scottish Appreciation Day. Anyway, with the local (not to mention national ) economy spiraling, we are looking at ways to keep interest and make the events affordable. So we had one of our final meetings to pull it all together last Friday. We are having a great all you can eat traditional roast beef dinner with neeps and tatties and the rest for $15 a person..down $5 from last year. Entertainers are coming from Central Oregon and it promises to be great. So as everyoen is saying "job well done" I ask about the haggis. Haggis? Haggis?? UH....who was supposed to order the haggis? I wasn't in charge of the food...but I slappe dmy head anyway. What is Burns Night with NO HAGGIS!!! Nor any Ode to a Haggis read! Or the piping in thereof? I asked if it was too late to order and got told by the chairperson..it probably was. Lord...I feel miserable!!
No butcher in your town? You can always check with any local actors to read the "Ode" since it will give them exposure. As for pipes, ask around at funeral homes. They might have someone's name and number.

He sells tinned Haggis (and our Scots expats all love it, btw) and he should be able to send you some ASAP. A passable substitute is the Cajun Boudin Blanc sausage. Mind you it's not Haggis, but it's very similar. Todd
I ordered haggis for my wedding from the Scottish Tartans Museum gift shop in Franklin, NC. It was deeelicious and of course proceeds go to support this non-profit Museum! See Matt Newsome if you have any questions. They keep quite a variety in stock.

Perhaps one of the Scottish Butchers on this list would be able to help http://www.threetowners.com/scottish_butchers.htm

http://www.cameronsbritishfoods.com/...3&cat=3&page=2 Cameron's make a good haggis. You can also go for the 4 lb size or you can call them and they can make a larger one if needed.
