Victoria Games

This weekend is the Queen's Official birthday weekend in Canada -- and the Victoria Games in British Columbia on all three days. The Wizzard and Bobbie will be there, of course, and I'm pretty sure Macman and Anna will be, too. Ruth and I will be there over from the Sechelt on the 22nd. Anyone else planning a fine day at a fine games?

Hmmm, is The Wizzard just a longer version of The Wizard? Not sure I can handle more of him!

Anna and I will be there on Sunday the 22nd. We're looking forward to it, and looking forward to seeing you and Ruth again, Rex. Maybe at the Freedom Kilts tent or the beer garden

Hard to believe its been four years since I visited Victoria Games. Hope to make it back there again some time in the future.

I've been in Switzerland and British Columbia over the winter, Alex, and am not back in Scotland until July. Ruth and I will be staying with rellies in Kelso for a few days mid-July. Will you be at home then? I don't know what is planned for us, but we will also be at St Johns Town of Dalry for a week after that, so we surely will be able to arrange a meet in all those days. After that we'll be home to Tomatin for the rest of the Summer.

I expect to be at home in the borders in July, Rex.
I expect my wife and I will be over in Kelso for the German supermarket Lidl a few times over the summer.
Lidl's great rival Aldi got permission to build a new supermarket here in Hawick so Lidl decided to demolish their existing one and build a brand new bigger and better replacement. The race is now on between Lidl and Aldi to be first to open their new Hawick premises in early 2017 and in the meantime Lidl have given us discount vouchers to use in Kelso so as to retain our business.
