Williamburg Scottish Festival/Celtic Gathering

The Williamsburg Festival is Saturday Oct 1 from 10AM to 6 PM. Is anyone planning to attend. I ordered my tickets this past Thursday.

I'll be helping out at the SAMS tent, and probably doing the color guard for the opening ceremonies.

Anyone else planning on attending. Seven Nations is performing along with Rathskeltair. I don't know if Ern will be there as I believe he is in Scotland right now, but may be back before the event. If he doesn't have the Malcom/MCCallum tent there perhaps we can find somewhere else for our annual Xmarks meet and greet.

If Ern doesn't make it this year, we can meet at the SAMS tent. There will be at least 2 XMTS members already there. Lets wait and see what Ern might have to say (I think he is due back home today).

Here's a copy of recent email to the clan conveners which will give you an idea of tents' locations.

Only a few more days! There is good news and bad news...............the good news is our Parade field looks very much like Scotland..........the bad news is because we have a new loch rich in the corner of the field where the reviewing stand and Honored Clan were last year! Our nice, symmetric layout had to be 'altered' to avoid this Wellies-only area, so may look a bit different than years past, but everyone has a spot on the perimeter of the field, and the rest of the field will be fine. I know this doesn't tell you much. We will have each space labelled with the Clan name and we will all be there to direct you to your space.

Also, for those with passes to the Saturday VIP area, we moved that venue closer to the Parade field, inside the Roadhouse. Friday night's President's Reception is still on the patio of the Walker's Dam Grille.
