2013 Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk
It was the 43rd Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Weekend. The weather cooperated for us as yesterday was monsoon and tomorrow its going to be an ice storm. I had good contingent of both MacCallums, Malcolms and members from XMTS.
Sir William was the first to be seen as I waited for my Clan members. Bill was marching with the Appins

Neil and Sean (father and son) rode on bicycles to the meet up point.

SVC40bt joined us with his sons

The Malcolms of Alexandria arrived (three generations now of Christmas Walkers) arrived.

That's Brodie on the far right!

It was appropriate to have the Westies with us. As Colonel Edward Donald Malcolm , XVI of Poltalloch had developed the breed.

Every time I gave hearty HO, HO, HO, Merry Christmas to the crowd, Brodie would join me!

This lovely lass served us a dram of Drambuie as we passed by. She stole my heart. Lucky guy!

Holcombe Thomas of XMarkstheScot with his lovely bride greeted us as we filed by.

Each year the announcer at the reviewing stand comments about us as the makers of his favorite whisky. No, that's Macallan, we're MacCallum!

The Jolly Old Elf with Mrs. Claus!

After the parade I team up with the Donnachaidhs and head down to the Fish Market for lunch

Donnachaidh Clan Parade organizer, Jim Fargo with sons Ed and Andrew.

A GRAND TIME!

Sigh...such festivities are so rare on the West Coast. I really want to move (for a multitude of reasons, this is merely another reason).

Excellent report, Ern. Thanks again.
Our AGM is at the Virginia Games next summer. Looking forward to an eyeball, a handshake and perhaps sharing a wee dram.

I always enjoy your picture threads--especially of this event. If I lived closer, I would most certainly join you. Thank you for taking the time to share and post pictures :-)

Wonderful pix, Ern. Sorry we had to miss it this year. Btw, was there a Red Scott tartan in your group?
