2014 St. Louis Scottish Highland Games and Cultural Festival in Forest Park - Photos
Greetings,
Well, another successful year of the St. Louis Scottish Highland Games and Cultural Festival in Forest Park has come to pass. My lovely wife Stephanie and I, joined by my aunt Carolyn, enjoyed the company of several fellow members of the rabble, as well as old friends within the Scottish community of St. Louis and beyond. We all had a cracking time, despite the weather being just a wee bit on the warm side. However, we knew the best places to find adequate shade; and that, coupled with a cold pint and a gentle breeze, helped to keep us cool and comfortable throughout the day. It's always a great day out, and finishing the evening with dinner and drinks at The Scottish Arms Pub, seemed to complete the day nicely. As is the case with most events of a similar nature, the games just went by entirely too fast. Lively conversation with family and friends alike seem to make the day go all the faster, and rightly so. Time flies when you're having fun!
Cole Finley (Kilted Cole) and his braw service dog, Murphy. Murphy was definitely the star of the games! Everyone was fascinated by him. Such a devoted and wonderful companion for Cole.

Cole sporting the Chattan tartan in Wilson's of Bannockburn colours. Photos simply do not do this tartan (and his kit) justice. Absolutely superb!

Murphy Finley relaxing in the shade, yet still ever so vigilant and always at Cole's side.

My bonnie bride and I.

More photos to come...
Cheers,

Everyone looks great, but I gotta say, Kilted Cole and Murphy make an outstanding pair. That`s a fine tartan, and the whole outfit just rocks!

I completely agree! Everyone kept coming up to them throughout the day. It was really neat to observe!
