    Acrylic kilt....

Thought some of you might enjoy seeing my acrylic (although advertised as P/V but certain it isn't after reading through the posts on here) kilt I got when I purchased the two wool kilts off of eBay.
Not complaining in any way, it's actually very well made and I've been wearing the heck out of it....a bit long for my taste but for the price I'll gladly live with it.

    Johnnie.

Looks ok on the left maybe a touch low on the right. It is quite common for acrylic kilts to be hemmed so if you wanted it shortened it should not be a problem, though it might cost almost as much as the kilt did; but that is still not a lot for some of the eBay kilts. My local alterations shop would charge around $15. (Actual quote £9.)
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Good boots and appropriate t-shirt with them. Is the kilt a box or knife pleat? Seems a bit "low slung" in the waist which may account for the length on the knee. Either way a hem will solve both issues if as comfortable as you say.

Wear it up higher. It can be up to the bottom of your ribcage. Nice looking from what I can see.

The boots are from What Price Glory, M1931 US Cavalry, the shirt from ? I don't remember ?, and the belt is from Military History Workshop, Pattern 1914 snake buckle belt, in the UK.
I'll try to wear it higher but dang it it feels so uncomfortable all the way up there, lol!!
And the pleats are knife style.....
