Agg cats on my kilts
Didnt really know where to put this thread because it had a few possibilities. It could have been how to accessorize your kilt, kilt problems an how to fix them or many other choices. I opted for the photos because that is what we all like. After a couple of new kitten and puppies threads I thought it would be fun to show who leaves hair on your kilts. For me it is my cats. As soon as I get a new kilt it seems to attract the cat hair from my two beasts. Now let me state I love my two critters but they are terminal shedding cats. I weekly have to vacuum up the spare cats they leave behind. So here is the photo op for everyone. What leaves hair on your kilts that requires you to use everything from a vacuum to duck tape to get it off. Here is my offering and my two wonderful, though hair shedding friends.
My Queen, yes a rescue, with calico tuxedo and siamese blue eyes. Her name is Scout and Ive had her about 9 years. Cant put an article of clothes down without here jumping on it and claiming it.
This one I got two winters ago, yes a rescue. It is very good example of a Rumpie, or a totally tailless Manx. Yes he is big, 18 LBs but quite a love. And he is a she named Fat Cat.

Scout went ballistic when for a couple of months when I brought Fat Cat home but after a few months I would catch them like this. Proof that it takes time but friends can be made.

Of course there is some competition for heater space in the winter.

This is why I have cat hair on my kilts. Scout on my running kilt project.

And Scout on a kilt I was taking photos of. She just thinks they are all hers.

So everyone show us your critters that are part of your life. Mine are very important to me, they are my best buddies even though they leave their hairy mark everywhere. I never wear black and my charcoal kilt jacket and waist coat remain hidden. Cats, dogs, hamsters, mice, gerbils, snakes..... show us what leaves hair on your kilt

Of course as soon as you start a project cats seem to feel they can lay claim to it. Fat Cat saw my corduroy material laying out and me working on it, that was his cue to get comfy.

Here's my little girl Sophie...

And here's Sammy...after he's been on your kilt or rubbing against your hose, your kilt or hose look like they've been woven from mohair - very long mohair.

Re: Agg cats on my kilts
Here are the centers of my universe (or monetarily speaking anyway, the black holes @ the center)... We have 3 in toto, in case you wondered.
Hagrid, named after the Harry Potter character who is big, gentle, furry, and can sometimes get himself into trouble, but with a heart of pure gold.

This little girl is actually a different cat than the 1st 2, though the resemblance is strong.

Our eldest principessa, Velvet (named before we adopted her)

Putting the 'icing' on the cake, as it were. Just having these wee beasties in the house,
you WILL get fur on places they've never actually been.

Re: Agg cats on my kilts
This is Buster. He is the reason the guest room door stays shut at all times and the closet that my kilts are in is in that room.
I am adorable, no? Look deeeep into my eyes. Now DO MY WILL!

The reason I prefer light colored kilts:

I think I am lucky that I only have to color coordinate to one color.

Re: Agg cats on my kilts
You all have some wonderful furry friends. We lost my sweet Evie kitty, the tabby shown here and in my avatar, just last month. It was difficult to get a good picture of her because she hated the flash and learned to squint whenever the camera came out!
We still have her sister Charlie. Charlie seems to have the ability to shed white fur on dark garments and black fur on. . . well, you get the picture! I think the kilt hose that I knit have a measurable cat hair content in addition to the wool.
Proudly Duncan [maternal], MacDonald and MacDaniel [paternal].
