Alan H builds me this nice lil' kilt, and I go and do this to it:
My best friend and I ran the Warrior Dash over the weekend. It's a 5k run with 13 "grueling" obstacles.
Anywho, I kilted up.
Race begining:

Making my mother proud:

Tough Mudder:

You know, one cycle throught the washing machine with some OxyClean and the kilt is as good as new. :)

Great action pics.
For a horrible moment it looked from the last pic that your kilt had got ripped at the front, however comparison with the previous shots shows that it is only your race number which is hanging loose, so nothing that a good wash can't cure.
Well done on the run!

Yeah, the waterslide down a slope and into Lake elsinore loosened up the ol' number. Then climbing over the 3 floating "islands" rippped it to shreds.

Great pictures. Way to represent the Bacon!
That race number is the only thing that caused damage to my kilt at Warrior Dash last year. Three of the four safety pins holding it on ripped out leaving small holes. That's why I wore a Stillwater Economy kilt. Tough as nails and disposable (if required).

I just got signed up for a warrior dash in June and was considering doing it kilted and I think your pictures have inspired me to do so.

THAT'S why you pin the number through your belly skin!
Looking great, you Warrior! I could just hear your joyous "Yawp!" from the pics. Those races are a real kick in the funny nuggets.
