Another American Visitor to the Glass Floor

Sir William from Virginia USA was in town yesterday.
Those of you who have been here will recognise the location as the glass floor over the water wheel in Hawick's Tower Mill, one of the features of Scotland's Heritage Capital.

And Annie and I well remember your grace and courtesy in showing us the glass floor when we were there. The day we spent with you was the highlight of that trip.

And a wonderful visit it was. I regret that I was unable to don a kilt for the meet, but I'd been on the road all day (Newcastle, Carlisle, Hadrian's Wall, etc) and don't like wearing a kilt when driving a lot (unlike Alex!). I did wear my kilt the next few days while attending the Clan Elliot Gathering just a few miles south of the Glass Floor.
