Ardenwood Tartan Day, Nor Cal
I'm sharing a mess of pictures from various people, here. We had a grand day, overall. A Scottish misty morning turned warm and sunny with clouds in the afternoon. On the business side, the bummer of having one of the food vendors trucks blow up its transmission...which led to long lines at lunch, was balanced by the fact that every single planned tent site was full. No dropouts in vendors or clans. The MacKintosh pipe band was out, the Red Thistle Dancers danced, our athletes did our thang, and the bands rocked the house...
Hopefully JHockin will put some of his pictures here, as well....
X Marks athlete, RogerWS76 lines up to deliver a 25 foot sheaf toss, thereby winning the field record from Yours Truly! Way to go Roger!

Here's the lineup of lasses athletes, X Marker, MacFhearchair is on the far right. She won the womens C class caber with a cool 11:50 on that stick and then went on to blow my mind by picking the MONSTER Womens A Class caber....showoff!

This is a Celtic Lurcher, a crossbreed dog used for hundreds of years for hunting...

Overall view of the Living History area, and wow...look at that! Our Hero, Alan H is announcing the caber event, and X marker TimC has "The Whomper" picked and going!

Cardinal Highland Athletics Club athlete, Robert Krieger takes a pull on the Mens A class caber.

New lasses athlete, Lindsey Keeton clears 11 feet in the weight over the bar event, while Paul Saunders shows off his guns, and how impressed he is with Lindseys toss, from behind...

I'm not sure that this move is outlined in any of the swordplay books from the period, but it makes a GREAT picture!

These next couple of pictures are from the amazing Madalyn, who runs the kitchen at our Nor Cal Burns Night every year....
X Marks Rabble get-together...

Every little Merida needs lollipops....

A KILLAH full-mask sporran...I think this is Richards... X-Markrer way2fractious....

The crowd out to watch Athletics...

Nor Cal Rabble friends, and MANY-time hosts.....Gene and Ruth McCracken at the MacNaughton tent.
