Arizona wedding Part 2! Pro photos!

Hey folks! As many of you know, I recently officiated a wedding in Arizona. I just got the pictures from the photographer and thought I should share them. So here are a few:

This is right before the bridal procession.

    Doing the ceremony.

    Myself with the happy couple.

The bride had a daughter. The groom wrote a set of vows for he and his new stepdaughter. This is from that short ceremony during the reception.

All in all, it was a great day. The mother of the bride later told me that I added an extra touch of class to whole affair.

Nice pics. I particularly like the idea of step child vows. That's a new one on me. It seems very appropriate considering how life changing it is for a child to have a new adult role model in join the family.

It's actually the second time I've done it. I really like the idea myself.

yes, we did something very similar for my son. Though not at the wedding but at the blessing of the rings. Chrome Scholar passed on an important object of his to Tim for safe keeping. I really liked that as was good for Tim who was feeling like he was losing his mother.

I have actually started writing some myself. It seems to be a growing trend, so I better get in it. You know, the whole evolve or die thing... I've tossed around the idea of charging a small extra fee for it, but that seems a little... I don't know... exploitative seems the correct word. I actually almost feel bad about charging for the ceremony in the first place! And then I have to remember that I am offering a service... I wrestle with the whole monetary exchange for religious service thing. It all smacks of the middle ages practice of selling indulgences so you get a better seat in heaven. OK... This was better left as an inner monologue. I'll leave it, though, since it gives a better insight into my mind. We are after all a community of friends.
