    Back On The River....KILTED!

A beautiful day in the neighborhood today. Was back on the river kilted in my new USA Kilts Isle of Skye in casual.

Nothing fancy, just a 15 mile flat water float trip down Glen Canyon of the Colorado River from Glen Canyon Dam to Lees Ferry, Arizona....but sure is serene.

Only kilt comment was hearing behind my back a father politely educate his 6 year old son, "Its called a kilt."

And I also had the perception that the Chinese and German tourists on board were "sneaking" a lot of photos of my kilt. One German lady was aiming my way so often I finally wrote my email addy on a card and asked her to send me any good shots. We'll see.

Now that's the place to wear County Cavan—that is what the tartan is?

As usual, Ron. Great photos. Looks to be a beautiful day. How was the temperature?

Fabulous scenery, Ron, looks like a superb day out.
You do look rather precarious on your perch on the back of the boat in the second last shot, do take care!

That Skye set looks smaller than all the others I've seen. Which is it, might I ask?

PV tartans usually have a smaller sett than heavier wool.

The threads of synthetic material are significantly smaller in diameter and less "fluffy" so when woven tightly to the same thread count, the sett size is much smaller than a normal kilt tartan.
