Back from WOCS
Hello again rabble! I had a bit of a hiatus from here while i was at warrant officer candidate school, but im back and happily kilted again i wanted to share with you all a picture taken at the south florida highland games this weekend. I really love the County Cavan tartan with the ochre hose, what do you all think?!

I like the total look. The green flashes fit perfectly and the ankle height boots seem natural with the overall presentation. Congratulations on completing the school also.

Excellent demonstration of casual, but still remaining well dressed. It's a nice tartan and goes well with the socks and sunglasses.

It has been a few days since I went through WOCS. I imagine that a little has changed. We still had the wood barracks across the street from what is now the museum.
Say hi to Mother Rucker for me.

A few things have changed Steve. Those wooden barracks are now brick (probably built in the 80s) but 1st WOC is still right there across the street from the museum. I now have a love/hate relationship with Mother Rucker. Those pesky TAC Officers continue to make a candidate's life miserable. Im sure that has not changed

Great pic, just shows you that tradition is perhaps best maintained on formal occasions but the kilt is essentially made for dressing casually and your pic proves it, excellent

The wooden barracks I was in were right on Novosel Rd. There is some large new building where the WOC school was.
The brick ones were brand new. Those were for primary and secondary flight.
