    bad kilts

I saw the guy in the tartan sarong again yesterday, but wasn't able to get a pic. He went by too fast, but here are a couple of more:

The "kilt?" in the first pic was pleated all around, and looked more like he was wearing his sister's pleated skirt. Although the shoes appear pink in the photo, I think it is a lighting effect. I took the photo from the waist as we walked by and because his back was to the sun I had to enhance the pic, so the kilt? would show up. The second photo is a kilt, but the clothing combination is horrible. Note the Blackwatch tartan with the orange sport jacket and sandles. I think that the rivets showing on the side are a sporran of sorts. Mods, if you feel these pics are innappropiate, please delete them with no hard feelings from me. I did edit them so no faces are shown.

Dude, the second picture is a guy wearing a Black Utilikilt Workman. I really don't think there is anything wrong with in wearing that with the orange coat and sandals.

I'd bet that in the first picture, the guy had the kilt on backwards (I've seen it before -- not a good phenomenon). This is photographic evidence that there are guys out there who need our guidance. (Although the last time I tried to tell a guy he had his kilt on backwards, he insisted, "No, you can wear it both ways.")

The second one shows the hazards of the kilt in thick canvas. It rumples easily, and stays rumpled. The second one I'm more inclined to forgive, since the Workman's is marketed as a working man's garment.

Halloween is coming so the second outfit is absolutely acceptable.

And it's for this reason that I'm starting to like my workman's less and less.

Actually, the first picture looks like he hand pleated a piece of cloth and tied it around his waist.

    Oh, dear!

That first one is no kilt. It's a skirt.

I guess the second guy was ready for Halloween with the orange & black combo.

    Bad kilts

My daughter is in her first year at Queens university in Kingston Ontario. During Thanksgiving she came home and showed photos and movie clips of frosh week.
There were kilts galore, tartan wraps, tartan skirts etc. worn by I would guess around 300 guys and gals.
This is the faculity of engineering...they dye themselves purple have a greased pole climbing session in a pool of mud and water! mud sliding! These so called kilts and a number of traditional kilts are all caked with mud by the end of the day!
They did seem to be having fun!! I pity the person who had to clean these articles of clothing.
I would think this gang has it hands over fists for the ugliest kilt by days end.
