BB's St. Pat's in Saratoga Springs, NY
So, I dont usually wear a kilt on St. Patrick's day, but I havent worn my kilt in ages and I thought this would be an ideal time to knock the dust off. My roommate and I visited a few pubs and walked around the downtown area. It was a lot of fun and I only ran into one heckler which was pretty mild at that. Lots of people stopped to talk to me and tell me how much they liked the out fit (a few of them fair lasses). Ah, behold the power of the kilt!
In my back yard getting ready to leave. (kilt looks crooked but its the way I was standing).

At the pub watching some dancers.

Outside the pub having a smoke and some complimentary Irish whiskey

Over all it was a great day, I only wish I didnt have to work tonight so I could enjoy the festivities more fully. Not nearly enough Celtic music to satisfy me at either of the pubs we visited.
The kilt is a USAK semitrad in the US Navy tartan, the boots are exNavy standard issue, and my sporran and belt are Berserkbishop originals!

Berserkbishop,
Glad to see that the Navy is treating you well, esp. w. a nice posting. You could be stuck in Washington.
Cheers

Nice pics. I'll be in Saratoga Springs next weekend for a convention. Unfortunately, no time for kilted outings.

So far so good with the Navy, well it is the military but I could have it much worse! Is that DC or Wash state you speak of. . .

Sounds like you had a good day. Unfortunately, work does have a habit of shortening a good time.

Thanks! I did survive the winter and better than I had expected. This was an incredibly mild winter. Hopefully the sky wont drop some snow to spite me!

Washington State. However, being a submariner makes being outside in any weather manageable.
