Bethany visited Victoria BC and took these cool military kilt pictures
I knew a bunch of you lads would want to see these, so I asked her permission to share them here. She threw at the Victoria Highland Games and there was a reception Saturday night. She took the pictures at the reception. I've edited out a few that had too much glare, or contained shall we say, "controversial items"...aka weapons.

Not a kilt pic, but the headwear and mess jacket are interesting.

and then to finish up....representatives of the Elite Womens class at the Games, all cleaned up. From left to right...Adriane Blewitt (world champion 2011, 2012) ... Emily Burchett (pound for pound, probably the best womens thrower, today).... Bethany Owen (my training partner here in California) ... Kate Burton (world record holder in Sheaf, light weight for distance, and both hammers).

NICE! Thanks. Interesting the sixth one down has a sash and what looks like a 'day plaid.' Do I have this right? I don't think I have seen such a thing before.
Great stuff. Thanks.

I just realized that in the last pic, the one before the Throwin' lasses....the mannequin is wearing trews.

I am so dissapointed Alan,
You should have had Bethany stop by the Freedom Kilts booth and introduce herself. I would have loved meeting her.
We would have insured she was treated as the royalty that she is.

Great pictures, Alan. I've spent many an hour bashing the parade square at the Bay Street Armoury.
I hope this link works. Bethany made the front page of our local newspaper.

D'oh! I should have thought of this! I bet anything that she'll be back next year.
