    Bias-cut Buchanan

First day out with my new Buchanan waistcoat, cut on the bias. The kilt is a 16oz Lochcarron weave, and the waistcoat is 10oz, also Lochcarron. Despite the different fabric weights and slightly different sett sizes, the colors matched perfectly.

Very nice! And it's really no bother that the fabric weights and sett sizes don't match perfectly. As long as the sett is the same relative size (between the kilt and the waistcoat), no one would know. Well done, mate.

    Cheers,

Ken: I love the Buchanan tartan, and tartan waistcoats. All you need now are tartan flashes! Just kidding. You look splendid!

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Very sharp Ken. Where did you get your waist coat?
I'm just trying to be the person my dog thinks I am.

Crash, I got it from Scotweb. It came fairly quickly, too. (Buchanan Modern being a common "stock" tartan, I'm not surprised by that.)

Very nice, Ken. I also noted that the beard is back. It looks good on you.
