I wasn't sure where to post this item as it covers many headings, it's pertinent to "Kilt Advice", Traditional Kilt's", to name but 2
I recently found this WW1 postcard sent from the trench's to a loved one back home,
the words on the card concur with my opinions and respect for the kilt,
just goes to show in how high esteem the kilt was held in those days,
Shame it isn't held in the same respect today
The words :-
You'll see by this card my lot I now share
With the brave highland regiment whose badge I now wear
And whatever, perchance, my station,
in camp or in field, or when under fire
it will be my great aim, and my only desire,
to live up to their grand reputation,
and wether I live or my blood be spilt
I swear I will never disgrace the kilt.
