Bobby, The Kilted Cat
So, in my introduction , I mentioned that I made a kilt for my cat, Bobby. This was not, by any means intended as a serious attempt at making a kilt( as the pictures will prove) . I am a huge fan of the band, Scocha. ( ok "Fanatic" is a bit more appropriate) A few months ago a challenge was put out to us fans ( a contest of sorts) to post a picture of a "celebrity" holding a Scocha CD. I thought it would be funny to dress up my cat. At first I thought I would buy a little piece of tartan for the kilt, but then decided, since it was for Scocha, I would make him his own little outfit similar to what the band members wear. For those not familiar with these guys, this is their typical attire for gigs ..

Here's Bobby with his CD. Excuse the particularly horrible job on his Sporran ( if you can call it that, even) made it in about 5 minutes from some fleece fabric i had around and a piece of tin-foil.. lol. And WAAY to big obviously. My sister is holding him to take the picture, and covered up the Scocha logo, which I hand- embroidered.

Here is a close up of the embroidered logo:

And finally the back of the kilt. Sadly this is the best picture i could get of the back. it was actually pretty cute, but he was surprisingly not very compliant .

and the escaping Kilt-wearing cat ...

Ohhh boy. I hope Bobby was well rewarded for his patience, and that the two of you are still on speaking terms. The sporran actually looks pretty good. Not sure what else to say except that is a nice punk cat kilt outfit?

Ha Ha..Thanks guys. Bobby had forgiven me exactly 4 hours later , when it was time for his bed-time snack.
I still regret that I couldn't get better pictures as these really don't do it justice, but I don't think I could ever convince another family member to help me with the picture taking again. My sister was a really good sport , and she is the family's official crazy cat lady with 4 cats , but even she left that night with bleeding arms and thinking that her sister had finally cracked.

Ahem!
My avatar wishes to make it known that you are at risk of prosecution for several serioius furrlonies, including simple assault and cattery, making threats of mass catalepsy, general indignities to the furson and mistreatment of a spurran.
He reminds that the dressing of cats is a delicate matter; it isn't just one of your everyday games ...

My youngest girl Purdy agrees with you CameronCat. Tricky business indeed to disrupt the sensibilities of Fur Highness.
