    A Burlesque Date Night

On Saturday, my wife and I went on a date night to a burlesque show in Phoenix. The show, despite being a little risqué and bawdy was mostly silliness and fun. There was no photography allowed, but, afterwards, the performers came out into the lobby for photos.

I wore my kilt and I'll tell you something. In the couple of years I've been wearing the kilt, I've only been asked The Question maybe once or twice and very politely, at that, until last night. Burlesque show audience members will ask, oh yes.

    I kept them guessing, though.

I got a few compliments and an extra raffle ticket on the house because the vendor liked my kilt (we still didn't win anything.)

Anyhow, here's me and my wife and a friend of ours posing with a bear. I don't usually wear bow ties but it was a nice chance to wear one of the self-tie bow ties my son gave me for my birthday.

And here's my wife and I posing with one of the headlining dancers.

Then my wife wanted to get a photo of the dancer in a swanky pose with me. I've added the shadows to keep the photo family friendly.

Also, on a side note, in the theater, I spilled beer on my kilt (why is it beer gets so easily spilled on kilts?). My kilt is made from HoE Nevis teflon treated tartan and the beer wiped right off!

Speaking as a big fan of Kilts, bow ties, beer and women (Not necessarily in that order), I have to say - WELL Done on all four accounts!

Notice the kilt is also in shadow!

    Sounds like a good night.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

It was, no doubt, a fun evening.

And even in the un-doctored photo, my kilt is in shadow and half covered with her feather boa. But, honestly, in the un-doctored photo it doesn't matter what I'm wearing as no one would even notice me there at all!

Those who can can, do do.

    Well that doesn't sound good.

These all represent a serious kilt WIN.

I totally agree.... I am a fan of all four as well, but I too would change the order!

"Kilts, bow ties, beer and women"

That should be in a country song.
