    Burns Supper 2017 photos

I'd be interested in photos from various Burns suppers that members of the rabble attended this year.

Here's one from last night's Burns ceilidh hosted by the Houston District Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, which my wife and I attended with Jack Daw and his bride (left to right, ShaunMaxwell, Kim, Andrea, Jack Daw):

It was a nice event, and one that we're likely to attend again next year. Good company, and good haggis too!

Also, I was impressed by Jack Daw's new bias cut waistcoat which he had recently received! Looking sharp, Jack Daw!

It was a pleasure for Andrea and me to dine with Shaun and Kim. We are all musicians and we appreciate our Scottish heritage. I'm glad Shaun found this event for us to enjoy. This event focused on Robert Burns' poetry, with an excellent address to the haggis. One of our table mates from Scotland recognized my MacIntyre tartan who told me her mother was a MacIntyre.

Here are a few from the Naval Club of Toronto Burns Night from Saturday Jan 21

Yours truly giving the Immortal Memory, I was asked to do so when I arrived.

Nathan was given the honour of being the haggis bearer and did a fine job of it looking sharp as a tack.

Our wee group from the start of the night, there were others who arrived later. From Left to Right:
McMurdo, Nathan, Allison, Ewan and Denise.

It was a wonderful evening full of poetry with old and new friends alike.

Thanks, Shaun! I like your new pc and self-tied bowtie. Next year, I'll know to go black tie (Shaun called in advance and I didn't).

I was asked to do another Burns Night last night at The Royal Oak Pub Whitby Shores, it was a pleasure to be asked to do the Address to the Haggis, To a Mouse and Tam O'Shanter. It was a great night, Nathan was playing the music, Vanessa and I had a great time.

Not a traditional Burns supper, but a wonderful Scotch tasting followed by a good supper, all with friends..

The evening was less formal than I had understood it to be, but what fun regardless.
