My son competed on Saturday in this strongman competition. The MC world strongest man competitor (rated in the top 15 of all times) Travis Ortmayer

called attention several times to the Scottish game as the foundation of strongman. There were 3 kilts in attendance. Me in my utilikilt, and one on a vendor and one of the competitors.


here was my 19 year old son on a 500 pound axle deadlift.

carrying a 750 pound yoke for 100 meters (32 seconds)

a variation on Scottish stones known as atlas stones. 340 pounds for 1 minute for reps. He get 3 almost 4

Then for some reason needed a nap

finally a heaviest axle military. tied for 3rd with 300 pounds

That is some insane weights, can't imagine the level of training that goes into lifting that much. You have to be proud of the results.
