Cameron at South Rim of the Grand Canyon
A beautiful day for a drive today so headed up to the South Rim with a friend. First stopped at Cameron, Arizona on the Navajo Nation - its the turn off to the South Rim. Town is named after Ralph Henry Cameron who came out from Maine and became one of Arizona's first senators.
Seemed fitting to bring the Cameron tartan to Cameron, AZ.

Went on to Desert View and Hopi Tower

Then on to Navajo Point

Moran Point

Still some snow in Arizona up at 7,500 feet

And finally Grandview Point

Kilt is Cameron Modern tartan 5 yard wool from USA Kilts. Filson vest in lieu of a sporran when driving all day, Miller Hats Doughboy campaign hat, usual Lewis kilt hose and ties, ZCoils and probably doesn't show well but my new green and brown Navajo sgian dubh.

Thanks, feel good too - both the cancer and the bladder stone are GONE! Reminds me of when I sobered up - had been tolerating the impact of so much booze but when it was gone I felt soooo much better. Same thing tolerating the side effects of the cancer and the bladder stone but now they're GONE! Feels great - a lot more energy even up at 7,500' on the South Rim. Wonderful not to huff and puff anymore.
For sure a beautiful day for kilting.

Great pics as always Ron, and I'm glad to hear you are feeling so much better. I know ordeals like that can exhaust you in ways you don't realize till later. Keep ship shape and Bristol fashion.

I always enjoy your photos Ron. I've never been to the Grand Canyon so thanks for posting them. In December of 1959, as a teenager, I traveled West with my family to visit my Dad's two brothers and their families in Tucson, Arizona. I saw the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest. So I haven't been in AZ for more than 52 years.

Fabulous photos Ron, thanks for sharing this truly magnificent scenery with us.
That is great news that your health is now so much better.
Take care, though, we don't want to lose you, you certainly looked rather precariously close to going over Moran Point.
From your posture at Grand View Point I had to wonder if you were taking a leak while being photographed .

Crack me up....tempting though since the water from the Colorado River flows to Los Angeles....don't miss the insanity and smog there at all...no offense...just me...
