Casually Kilted in the Spring Sunshine

There had been little opportunity to wear my kilts during the long winter as I had been driving a school bus which required the regulation dark coloured trousers, and when not at work have been hibernating at home.
In the meantime I have managed to shed two stones of fat.
Last weekend when I started back in my voluntary summer season job as a guide at the aviation museum I had to hold up my Royal Air Force tartan kilt with a trouser belt as all my kilt belts are now too wide, even when fully tightened. I need to acquire new belts or make additional holes in my existing ones.
Fortunately my lightweight Paisley pattern kilt has its own belt which I was able to adjust to my new waist size. Now that the warmer weather is here, it feels great to be out and about in the lightweight kilt.

Congrats on the weight loss! One advantage of your kilt is that you won't get asked "What tartan?"
We had + 15 deg. C weather here so Summer kilting is just around the corner too, ( I hope).
    Cheers

That is much more color than my scattering of flower beds is producing at the moment. I like when the first sign of Spring are Robins and hibernating Scots entering the sunlight.

Looking good, Alex! Well done. And it looks like a lovely day to wear your kilt. I wish I could look out my window and see blue sky like that today.

Alex: I always enjoy your posts (especially the ones with vintage vehicles), but this is one of my favorites. You're looking younger! How can that be?! Congratulations!

I always wondered if there were paisley kilts. I can't remember ever seeing one. Yours looks great - very spring like.
    To your good health.

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Looks very good Alex and congratulations on the weight loss.
The weather has been lovely, I have also been making the most of it, really appreciating my casual acrylics!
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

Another great day for a walk in the sunshine.

Seemingly it was also a good day for low flying as this tornado demonstrated. Unfortunately the noise was not sufficiently far ahead for me to get a frontal shot. The pigeon was a bonus.

If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
