Celebrating my "anniversary".
It turned out to be a beautiful day, today. I celebrated my "anniversary". A year ago today, about this time of the evening, I suffered an unexpected, premature myocardial infarction. At thirty-four years of age, I had had a heart attack; I was lucky to survive. (Keep in mind, I've never been heavier than in this photo, and I've never smoked--this was a freak occurence.) Out of sheer joy, I decided to put on one of my kilts to celebrate. A year on, I'm feeling great, and enjoying a new, healthy lifestyle. Please excuse the off-kilter belt buckle.

Can you see me now? If not, can someone help me? I can see it on my computer.

Kilting up EVERY day is a great way to celebrate. I really love that line in the song The Hanging Tree, "To really live you must almost die."

Wow. That's young to suffer a heart attack. I'm thrilled you survived and are making the changes which will help you live a long and healthy life! Congratulations!
Still no picture.

Well done laddie and you look pretty sharp in the picture too.

Of course, it is Walcott. I chuckle to think of the reaction if you strolled into the Lamplighter or the Coliseum...
If you're still allowed beer, I look forward to sharing one or five with you next time I head back to D-port. Or we could toast with milk. I'm fine either way!
