    It's simple: formal or festive?

Festive, you say? Wear the lighter color. You can save the vest and jacket for apologizes (if needed afterward). I don't expect that will be the case. Have fun.

Terry.... both look great. The mustard hose and tie really make the maple leaf tartan pop. The vest subdues the tie and the burgundy hose with the mustard flashes are more subtle. Ask your wife or other woman, they are always right. We mere men are only allowed to have opinions if women aren’t around.
    Merry Christmas!

You are absolutely right Liam but my " little woman" just smiles and gives me "the look" when I ask her about kilt attire ....I think she likes to be in control but has no "kilt sense"....... you should have heard the ruckus when I suggested I was buying the mustard yellow kilt hose Heh! heh!....I forgot to say we are going away for Christmas and with limited luggage so that is what has caused the dilemma of what to wear......I do enjoy the opinions of the x markers though and I will use them as back up when the decision is made ......Merry Christmas
