Re: Chicago Kilt Run 2011

And here again are the Chicago Men in Kilts at the end of the race.
O.K., I don't like the flat cap on the one guy, but get a load of the Robin Hood hat on the fellow at the left--he must be from the Sherwood Forest branch of the Chicago Men in Kilts.
I think I actually LIKE the Robin Hood hat---it could legitimize my wearing a feather, even though I am not armigerous...I am going to find a Robin Hood hat vendor...
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.
