Chicago Scots Autumn Pub Crawl
So here I am in my new Weathered McKenzie kilt, which I've worn almost constantly since I got it. Talk about adding some mileage to one's wardrobe--it basically compliments everything my other kilts don't! The photo was taken at the first stop on the Chicago Scots (Illinois St. Andrew Society) Pub Crawl in the suburb of Elmhurst, State of Illinois, which was extremely well-attended and, as usual, well-organized and very enjoyable. I received a compliment on my kilt from a woman whose daughter, it turns out, is named McKenzie!

Thanks Dughlas. I had never seen nor heard of Weathered McKenzie before now, but I'd been wanting a kilt in a tartan with lighter, earth-tone colors, and this is exactly what I had in mind. It's a good choice for both Autumn and Summer, especially in a lighter weight fabric--which mine is--and also for casual wear. I'm always telling others about how versatile and practical kilts are, and this one is solid proof!
The glass of Stella Artois Cidre I'm holding also, I discovered, goes with just about everything.....
