Chilling Day 2

Yesterday we took our friends on a shortish hike. Neither Arwyn or Dot have been well the past twelve month so it was great for them to get a little bit of mountain air. By the way, if you read this Hamish, they both send you their love and look forward to seeing you again as soon as its possible.
It wasnt the best of days and rained a few times up in the hills and it was surprisingly far colder than I expected. By that I mean my hands were cold, not me lower half as I had 8yds of welsh wool wrapped around me.
The bus was empty to start but the girls soon launched into conversation and then I got in 4 warm coffees to start the day off






Then an hour or so later after getting on two more buses the waterproofs were out as there were a few downpours. We didnt see a soul all the time on our walk. There were the odd Raven 'croaking' and managed to see two Red Kites ...

We landed up in our favourite watering hole and had a beer n bite to eat.




Didint take a pic of the outside of the pub yesterday, but here is one from one of our other frequent visits


Then it was back home , got changed and back out to meet two other friends. Dot stayed home as she was shattered ... It was a lovely day .. the whisky we drinking here is Penderyn Welsh ...

Derek, your pics are fantastic, please keep them coming. Also I have to say it always amazes me, in the pics I see of Scotland, Wales and England, how much open country you have. In an area that has been occupied by man for so many centuries I find that amazing and so wonderful. How lucky you all are to live in such an area of the planet.
