I haven't worn mittens in a long time, but your probably right. I also could have gone for my winter flight gloves, but I've misplaced them

The kilt, whether in the form of feilidh mor or feilidh beg is the warmest and coolest garment you can have. All that wool keeps you roasty toasty in winter, but breathes and lets the air flow in summer. Also that’s the best set of whiskers I’ve seen in a while!

Thanks! I'm pretty proud of it. And yes. The kilt is very versatile

Great match on the clothing!
I particularly like how the kilt matches the socks.

I'm actually wearing 3 pairs of hose, the first were an off-white/tan pair, the second was the green pair you can see the tops of and the third the charcoal on top. I'll probably end up wearing the same again this Christmas when I wear my kilt to church as I live close enough to walk and it makes more sense to do so than warm my car up before driving less than 1/4 mile to the parish.
The question then becomes what should I wear with the kilt? For the evening service I'm going to wear my Argyle jacket, foregoing the vest for my black Army button-up sweater, black necktie, and my nicer dress sporran. For the day service I'm unsure if I should go with the gray kilt jacket (and black sweater), ABF tie, and my not so nice dress sporran; the Argyle with not so nice dress sporran (and black or ABF tie); or just the Argyle with nice dress sporran again. This indecision is keeping me awake at night, or maybe that is just my insomnia.

I've seen the post for those, but if I were to wear something over my legs then it would most likely be something like this

I have purchased those and intend to commit sacrilege by sewing in a zipper on the inside of the leg and then fitting them with the buttons. I do think they'd work very well with the kilt. I made myself a pair of Native-style (Eastern Woodlands) leggings to use with my kilt and they work wonders!
