    Cilts n well kept hedges

There nothing like a well kept hedge to help take a pic on the timer.
This was at The Falkland Arms, Great Tew ...

Also found a pic of my mother on one our treks many years ago. I was lucky that she had no problem with her son wearing a Cilt

What type of stand are you using to support the camera in the first shot? I have an inexpensive mini-tripod but am not impressed with it and am looking to upgrade.

The tripod is a very small protable one that I always keep in my sporran. I have had it years and it works fine.

Creative! Around here gotta use rocks.

My mama had no problem with my kilts either. In her last years I wore a new tartan to visit her and she asked what tartan it was, It was her clan's tartan - Scott. Boy did she ever light up with a huge smile. Not just to see her clan tartan, but because I was wearing it in honor of her and her clan.

    Good on ya.

Lovely to see the pic of your Mum Derek - she was happy to be in cilted company indeed.

'Well Kept' - That is one quality hedge! I've been training ours, this last 20 years and it is nowhere near as dense.

    Regards

It looks very like one I recently purchased, it's made by Velbon and called the Teeny-pod. Not expensive but does the job very well.

    Great pics Derek.
I've got a little tripod like yours, its amazing how such a small and light tripod can help steady the camera.
