Cincinnati Burns Night at Nicholsons
So here are some scenes from last night from my camera's POV:
Here I am before heading out, wearing the MacCreary kilt by Barb, the PC I got from Rocky, and the L&M "seal" sporran I had to buy when I forgot one on a trip one day:
This is my best pal Ken. He is wearing the Stillwater standard Black Stewart and hose I gave him, and he is borrowing my flashes, day sporran, and the Argyll I got through Matt.
By the time we arrived at Nicholson's, Steve "WhoDeySchenk" with his large family, and JT "OFCJAX" with his charming date were already there. JT, Ken, and Steve, toasting the arrival of the haggis.
Here's the rabble: Tracy and Steve, Barbara and her escort JT, Rex, and Ken.
The entertainment last night was a so-so Beatles tribute band, Eight Days a Week, a curious choice for a Burns night. They looked strange in their mop wigs.
Jack, the doorman-slash-host at Nicholson's, complained that he was pushing the limits of his 20 year old doublet. He is wearing a family tartan, which I believe is Muir/Moore.
Outside of the service staff, there were not too many men in kilts out. They ranged from "well bless his heart" to "wow." I don't know who this gentleman is, but he had on a very nice McCleod kilt, one of the better ones. I don't think he knows who the lass is, either, but he didn't want to be in the photo by himself (he said).
Regards,
Rex.

Sorry to have missed you, Adam - Yeah, we had probably just walked out the door around then.
Best,
Rex.

Rex,
Top marks for your formal rig
I see why you have several tuxedos in your closet, formal suits you to a "T".
The gang look great and it seems based on the smiles it was a fun evening
Thanks for sharing the night with us
Cheers
Jamie

We were the last of the bunch to leave and I think we left about 10:45ish.
Barbara had a great time, as did I.

Nice Macleod, although maybe he could have grabbed a better choice of coordinating woman? (She's lovely, but purple and yellow clash a bit)
Be well,
Star
