You guys look great. Standing in the shade in short sleeves, I assume it must have been a pretty warm day. Nice-looking kilts and outfits, by the way.
If I do correct arithmetic, there must be around 300 clan members in the U.S. That's not a lot. I enjoy seeing all the clans represented at games in their various booths. So, good for you for holding up your clan's tradition in West Virginia. You were certainly "not forgetful".
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Yes, we are a wee Clan, but are well-represented at Highland events. We are also very fortunate to have a Clan Chief who is very active and who maintains close and cordial ties with Clan MacTavish USA. Like the saying goes, it's quality not quantity. ...of course, on a kilt-related issue, it's nice that we do have a number of great tartans from which to choose.
My wife Carol and I will be hosting the Clan MacTavish tent at the Kentucky Scottish Weekend next weekend, and at the upcoming games in Glasgow, KY and Wellington, OH. If any X-markers are there, please stop by and say hi.

I was so bummed that I didn't get to go this year!
I fly out from California to attend the WV Games every year, I think it's four or five straight years until now.
Well I fly back to hang out with my Mother in Hurricane and other relatives in Chesapeake, and Bridgeport makes for a nice side trip. Before that, I would visit during the Mountain State Art & Craft Fair at Cedar Lakes around the 4th of July.
This year I stayed home and had cataract surgery.

Maybe next year, Richard? Hope your recovery is quick and painless!

Yes I really want to get back there... the hills have a pull on a Mountaineer, you know, no matter how many years you've spent away. My older sister recently retired and moved back to WV after 40-odd years in California. I'm looking forward to doing the same some day.
The surgery went fine! Thanks!

It's good to see people out and about in Kilts.
