Country Walk .. Action Replay

On Sat we decided to go for a long (15mile) walk, taking in several watering holes en route.
Although it had rained heavy all night, by the time we left the house it had stopped and was drying up fast .. even the sun was coming out. So I got myself together

Those that were going all met up on the bus stop. Its a 10 min bus ride to the start of the walk.

20 mins later we were out in the country and making good headway

Just over an hour later we made it to watering hole No. 1

We were soon off again. Pic here just crossing a very small but very old stone bridge .. theres a lot of history about it ..

The countryside was looking very green after all the rain we've been having of late

An hour and a half after leaving watering hole No.1 we were approaching watering hole No. 2

It was'nt long before we took to the road again

Another hour on from watering hole No.2 we arrived at watering hole No.3

As the song lyrics say, we were 'On the road again' after 45 min stop. We did have two large bowl of chips and onion rings as well while we were there.

The weather was improving by the hour and you could start to see for miles

Two hours after watering hole No.3, the church tower came into view where opposite is watering hole No.4 The walk itself ended here and we were taking a bus into the city which was due in 15mins.

Arwyn and me took to the pub for a swift half, before the bus came

After getting off the bus we headed for watering hole No.5, a pub built into an old building in the 'legal' quarter .. called 'The Pen & Wig'

We were waiting for the samples of watering hole No.5 to arrive .. Elaine kindly went to the bar for us all .. we started watching the rugby then on the screen.

Thats it ... we all went home then ....

I always enjoy your travelogues.
