Wow, that is quite the outfit Very nicely personalized and not cookie-cutter. I especially like the dirk!

Glad to hear there IS a Burns Supper here in CT. Where was it held? I keep telling myself, "next year...next year."

You and your father look splendid. It's great to see father and son in kilts together (at whatever ages) Thanks for the photos and congratulations on the cantle acquisition.
Shoot straight you bastards. Don't make a mess of it. Harry (Breaker) Harbord Morant - Bushveldt Carbineers

Hi Guys
1st the pipes that i'm playing there are silver and ivory robertsons from the 20's
I played the haggis in to a mans a man for a that then played a couple MSR's then hornpipes then jigs.
The event was held on the 29th at j timothy's in plaisville.
Thanks for the comment on the red waistcoat I got the idea from a piper named john d. burgess MBE and also i like the 19th century highlanders of scotland book look.

Really outstanding! I envy your father is prodigious beard. I envy you your collection of waist belt and cross belt pieces, as well as the cantle...
You and your father bring it all off swimmingly. Really nice photos. Thanks for sharing that. John Burgess would approve of you both, no doubt.
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.

Hey. You look really top notch! I love the red waist coat and the belt buckle. Really sharp! Is that a Strathmore chanter?? If so how do you like it? I've been thinking about getting one for this years solo's. I also play an old set of Robertsons for my solo stuff. (MacCallum for band)
