Douglas Weathered by Kathy Lare
Here is my Douglas Weathered by Kathy Lare, I'm working on getting some brown accessories instead of the black. For the first day of wear I wore it onto Holloman Airforce Base down in the basin, several good comments from US and German personell.

Very nice! I think brown accessories would go better.

Kilted in Detroit! Now that's tough.... LOL

Beautiful tartan - I vote for brown leathers as well.

Very nice, as expected from Kathy Lare.
How about a back shot to show off her pleatwork. When she pleats to the sett it always looks like I have my kilt on backwards to folks behind me...

"I'll have a kilt please, a nice hand sewn tartan, 16 ounce Strome. Oh, and a sporran on the side, with a strap please."

Very nice!
I'm a big fan of brown leather, but the tartan already has lots of brown and I think the black leather goes very well with the thin black line. Nice contrast!
Brown leather will look stunning also.
I vote for a leather sporran strap and a more casual belt...will enhance the outdoors/hunting look.
*Note to self: "Need" a weathered kilt

All I can say is: DROOOOL! Lovely kilt RW! Have to keep that one in mind.
Depending on what look you are going for, brown accessories might be better, but I think that the black makes a nice contrast, except you need a different sporran belt. Get rid of the chain.

Well then, nice sporran as well! I did not look at it closely. No tassels, right? Seems like a nice casual sporran. As was mentioned on another thread, why do sellers include a chain on every bloody sporran?
That shirt looks nice, kind of a dark olive green? A nice brown shirt would go nicely as well, and I think (based on my monitor), a nice dark blue, not navy but lighter, but not as light as royal blue. Kind of a light navy, if that makes sense!

Nope no tassles and just big enough for my wallet, cell phone, keys and pouch for my magnetic sunglasses.
The shirt is a dark olive green and an exact match to the kilt, I'll look for a brown one as well, and you are making sense about the blue, its dark but not too dark yet not too light
