Dragon Boat Kilts
Last weekend was the annual dragon boat races in Steveston BC. We won our first qualifier as well as our last race of the day in C division consolation race. Here are some of the kilts from the team, Gung Haggis Fat Choy. Fraser Hunting is the unofficial team tartan, but all are welcome.

Thanks for asking Rick. It continues to improve. It's to the point now that I don't even think about it unless I overextend it and only then I remember. Really only the most extreme extension or heavy use makes it nag me. Since the pulling in the dragon boat is a downward motion there is no strain there, but the upward release is good gentle therapy.
Here we are at the finish line on our last race.

Nice to see the Macdonald tartan is welcome too....though I've plenty of Frazier in me too. Looks like hard work best left to healthy youngsters...

Our team ranges from 23 to 63 in age and there is one even more mature gent who frequently paddles with us as his second team as well as two girls who are only 9 and 11 thus unable to perform in the dragon boat races, but come for practice with their dad and may get in the boat to race this year at the Fort Langley Cranberry Festival where we race voyageur canoes. We emphasise Fun, Friendship, Fitness and Food. Who can't get behind that?

Fools.
Man, that looks like fun--even getting to kilt up while doing it! We have Dragon Boat races here in Denver (Edgewater, actually) and it always gets a nice turnout. We try to make it every year to watch the teams compete.

Here, locally there are dragon boat teams, especially in Oakland, but what I see around a LOT are the Polynesian canoe teams. Both seem like a lot of fun and a good workout.

What dates would the Ft Langley races take place?
I'll not be lied to , stolen from or laid a hand upon. I do this to no man and I require the same in return.
