Inside MacLellan's Castle in Kirkcudbright.

View of the toon frae the Castle.

Looking towards the harbour and the Dee Bridge.

View along the harbour.

Moving statue commemorating those lost at sea.

Another view of the Castle.

And view down the street towards the Castle and the Harbour.

And the street that gangs oot the toon. Anaither block then turn left tae the Brig O' Dee tae gang westwart.

More to come!

Nice pictures of Kirkcudbright, Trefor.
In my younger, fitter, days I used to take part in the annual Kirkcudbright Half Marathon but not been back there for a few years.

I didn't know I had a bridge! Hmmmm. I'd better get over there and make sure the tolls on the bridge are high enough.

Yes I liked it, wish I could have investigated more as it is an artist's town, but time didn't permit.

No tolls on the bridge Dee! Dee is in fact the name of several rivers in the UK so you may have to fight for ownership with other Dees!

These excellent images are whetting my appetite. I can see that I'll have to spend time in that part of Scotland in future instead of using The Ferintosh as a launch pad to Edinburgh and The Highlands!

It's an area well worth exploring Hamish, it was my first time west of Dumfries.
I was using Ferintosh as a base rather than a springboard but it's good for both!
