eBay Find
While I'm at it - I thought I'd model the jacket I won on eBay. There were a couple of small holes - so after a trip to the tailor and dry cleaners the total cost was about $65.
I don't know that the kilt is right for this jacket - but I thought I'd throw it on while I was getting the photos of my new Strathspey tartan. Sorry for the somewhat casual (no tie) look... it was well over 90 when I shot the photos.

Phil, great look! I am actually on a prowl for a similar jacket. I will be giving a keynote presentation at a conference in Boston in late August. Needless to say I will be kilted. However, I feel that my Argyll jacket is just too formal for the occasion, I want to find a gray tweed or similar style jacket for the occasion.

Great jacket. I picked one up on Ebay for almost the same price. The only differance is the buttons. Is that a Harris Tweed?

Phil,
Nice looking jacket! Have your tried it on with your Cavan kilt? I have a brown tweed Polo blazer that looks fantastic with mine (shoud look even better with my new Fitzsimmons kilt, too).
Personally, I think the 'no tie' look is just fine. It's almost a business-casual look and you wear it quite well, I might add.

I'm on the prowel for a tweed jacket too! I am seriously not going to buy another kilt (well, unless some super spectacularlessness comes up!) until I find a danged tweed jacket. I just hope I can find one for a good price.

Tattoobradley,
Keep your eyes on eBay; I've found several very nice tweed blazers there. Good luck!

Nice jacket, Phil. Sporting of you to model it in this heat. Thanks.

Phil,
I think the outfit is rather smart. The jacket and shirt go well together and work with the kilt and hose. I must confess to being rather partial to tweed.
So say "Well Done"!

I'm nervous to get a jacket on Ebay because of sizing. Does it fit well? It looks like it does! Good find!
