    An EBay Kilt

While cruising through the XBay link to EBay, i found a kilt with a starting price of $10!! It was listed as an Anderson tartan which my wife has an association with.

The description said it was new, 80% wool, 20% acrylic and a size that would fit me. It has arrived and here is the review.

I am not familiar with the seller but according to the listing they are retailers of kilts and were clearing stock. Although stated to be Anderson tartan it is not in colours I am familiar with. The straps are thin, stiff leather and the buckles are light weight. It appears that there was a label but it has been removed as there are remnants of paper inside. The selvedge looks to have been cut or torn and an attempt was made to sew a line of stitches of some kind. The fell is sewn down and seems fairly good. The material does feel like wool however not of the highest quality. The stated shipping charge was $25 to Canada.

I placed a bid and got this kilt for $15.50 plus shipping, about $44 CDN to my door. I think I got my moneys worth as this will be a good knock-around that I won't worry about. What do you think?

I know I might have done better with the SWK thrifty but it was the Anderson part that got me.

It's a great find - a decent kilt for a low, low price! And in bright busy colors that are a good match to your bright and busy personality. Way to go!
