Edinburgh Kilted Pics Last Weekend
These are the kilted pictures (besides those in the Ceilidh) that I accumulated on my trip to Edinburgh last weekend
Piper at the Scott Monument.

Doorman at the Balmoral Hotel - there were actually two on duty but one had taken a guest inside literally seconds before. I presume the tartan was designed for the hotel.

Piper in the Lawnmarket Royal Mile. Bill. my friend who guides at Stirling Castle, says he was ex military and had won a piping medal. He was certainly besieged by tourists posing for photos. (As was I time and again also!)

Trying to cut the tourists out...

But Andrew had to get into the act with his St Davids' tartan cilt...

Yours truly in my Ancient Robertson Hunting at the Castle.

Bill and Andrew taken from above at the Castle.

Couldn't resist this van in the High St.

And finally Andrew and the statue of Robert Fergusson in the Canongate - a case of Poet and Peasant perhaps? Andrew is in his House of Edgar County Antrim (which he insists on calling the O' Hara).

More excellent pictures Trefor, I wish I saw more kilts on my travels, however most of the time I am the only one I see.

Thanks Glenn
But normally kilts can be as rare in Edinburgh as Mounties in their famous uniform are in Toronto.
You have to be prepared to be constantly asked to pose for photos with the tourists!
But at least kilt #23 is now on order - more details to follow in due course!

Wow, those pictures bring back fond memories of the trip my wife and I took to Scotland (we visited Edinburgh for about 5 days) about 10 years ago. Thanks.
