Edinburgh October Pictures
Well I have shown the kilted pictures so here are the rest!
Edinburgh Castle from Princes St.

The Balmoral Hotel from Waverley Market.

Stretched pink Hummer in front of the Balmoral Hotel.

Statue in front of the Royal Bank of Scotland HQ.

The HQ itself.

Italianate building. The colour is so reminiscent of Dumfries.

More to come!

Edinburgh October Pictures #2
Set two.
Entrance to one of the closes on the Royal Mile.

Inside Edinburgh Castle - my first venture inside for many years - I didn't have to queue or pay £11.00 thanks to my Friends of Historic Scotland card and they get priority ticketing!

View from the Battlements over the New Town.

From the western end of the Castle you get some great views - this is St Mary's Scottish Episcopal Cathedral, quite my favourite church building in Edinburgh. At street level you tend only to see the spires unless you are very close to it.

The Caledonian Hilton on Lothian Rd, formally just the Caledonian Hotel.

The green dome of the Usher Hall.

More to come!
