    Entertaining the Troops

It was my pleasure to participate in an Entertaining the Troops concert this past Saturday evening in anticipation of Remembrance Day. Joining me on fiddle was the very talented Emily Yarascavich.

Nice kilt and accoutrements. Thanks for posting the pics. Wish we could have heard the music. What pieces did you play?
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Some strathspeys and reels, then a slow air then another set with a jig into some reels.

Some of the tunes we played were...

The Sweetness of Mary Strathspey, Hull's Reel, MacArthur's Road, The Banshee, Teetotallers Reel,

The air was a very nice tune called Belize.

Neither of us know all the names of them.

Nathan: Thank you. Alycia Putnam plays at least some of these, and her album "Wired for Sound" is available via iTunes. Do you recommend any other artists who play strathspeys, reels, and airs, and of course whose music is commercially available?

Also, the only "Belize" number I have heard has a Latin American style. Do you know an artist who does the Belize tune you played?
