Evening with Bruce of Williams Bros Brewery, Scotland
Our local pub, Park Lane Tavern scored with getting Bruce of Williams Bros Brewery, Scotland spend an evening sharing the delights of his classic Scottish ales.
Here Jay prepares the cask of Joker IPA for tapping.

Bruce draws the first of the Joker.

Bruce had also brought several bottles of different beers and ales for us to sample; Session Golden Ale, Heavy Shilling Beer, Midnight Sun Dark Porter Ale and Kelpie, an ale made from seaweed. There are two casks of their famed Fraoch, Heather ale stored for an upcoming Kilt Night. Here Bruce mingles and serves the customers of Park Lane.

Here is what we had to enjoy on tap this evening. The best IPA I’ve tasted.

Bruce has a laugh with Jim Simmons, General Manager of PLT.

The two gents flanking us in p@ants were the local distributors Justin Rodger and Taylor Grant. Bruce is wearing his father's Macmillan tartan kilt. Jay is wearing his Macleod tartan kilt form USAKilts. MC is wearing his Malcolm modern casual for Burnetts & Struth.

Bruce shows us his Celtic Seahorse with the Kelpie seaweed ale.

A Wade and Mike of the PTL staff came back on their own time to have an ale with Bruce.

It was a super evening learning about the classic specialty ales brewed by the Williams Brothers and getting to know Bruce. I am looking forward to the upcoming “What the Fraoch” Kilt Night this Saturday.
And kudos to Sara Lester, manager for making this happen. Who is on vacation this week in Hawaii!

As am I! Sorry I could not attend last night, but I was at another pub gathering in Sterling where I enjoyed some very nice Kilkenny Cream Ale.

I don't know. I certainly don't remember anything that red. I wonder if it is from the flash of the camera. I'll ask Jim when I see him next.
