    Evening stroll

Yesterday evening we went up into Wentwood .. forestry commision, hoping to try and hear or see some Nightjars. A Nightjar is a very secrective and mysterious bird that only comes out just at night fall to feed. Unfortunately we did'nt see any but heard a couple of them calling once it got dark. Their call is a churring sound, just like a sewing machine. We quit at 10.30pm and went to another place to get a night (ly) jar. Here's some pics.

Just as we were setting off. It was about 9pm.

Anyhow I got lots to do .. P1M and Emma are arriving later today.

    Derek,

I seem to see more people with you on your hikes. That's great because I guess every one wants to be around that Cilted guy in those fantastic shots.

There is no stopping you two is there Derek? What an expedition! I just don't know how you find time to fit these outings in to your busy lives. I've not managed to get out up on the the South Downs Way - ten minutes from my home - for well over a year. In fact, I don't think I have been on a 'walk' of any kind since I was with Elaine and you last autumn!!

By the way, have a GREAT time with Robertson and Emma.

Great pics, Derek, no doubt its the kilt which has made your rambling entourage so popular.
