    Experimenting with the Saffron

Some prefer the Saffron with Yellow shirts. Not really my taste.

I tried navy blue which I thought looked pretty good with brown leather.

I'm really interested in tryiong it with a black shirt and leather but I've not had time to make my black belt or dye my cream hose black yet.

So, today I'm trying it with a green sweater.

    Any thoughts?

I Love the green Jumper (Plain had been better I think but that was still nice ) An off white Aran would be nice to or even a green one. Nice contrast

I was thinking off-white this morning also since I've got a pair of off-white boot socks to balance that out, but I realised I had donated my old sweater to charity for some crazy reason. That must have been "Before Kilt".

    Saffron with Green

Saffron with most any shade of green looks good to me. Nice combination.

The dark blue looks OK for casual, but I'm not sure if I would wear blue with any kind of a jacket. The saffron is almost like khaki slacks or blue jeans, it can be matched with most any color.

Black would also be an interesting combination, for casual.

Personally I have several very light yellow dress shirts from J.C. Penny in what they call Ecru, that goes well with the saffron.

The chestnut belt is absolutely perfect with the saffron. Just got my order this week. Thanks.

Brown shirts work well, too, and can be combined with oatmeal hose if you don't have a brown pair.

Khaki shirts look pretty good with the saffron. Look up Irish pipe and drum bands and see what colours they have paired up with the saffron.

I think the green jumper, with its pattern, goes well with the saffron kilt.
