Father's Day Weekend Dress
Pic of me and CGR yesterday after an afternoon of lunch, some shopping, and general running around town. I'm wearing my early father's day gift of purple Lewis hose (with knitted black flashes that don't show up in the pic). If, a year ago, someone had told me that I would be very excited about purple socks, I would have bopped them in the nose. I love these! They are a very close second to my clarets.
Had two comments all day. One was at the thrift store while jacket shopping. A lady asked if we were re-enactors. I said "No, it's just Saturday". The look on the girl's face was priceless. You could almost smell the circuits in her head burning.
The other was at the library when another lady wandered over to me, pointed at the kilt and said "that rocks!" and went on to tell me about her trip to the Highlands, her pastor who wears full highland dress all the time and her love of her own Scottish heritage. Very enjoyable conversion, even though I don't like to be bothered when I'm in the library.
CGR is wearing his usual look, leather fedora and all. His latest addition to his wardrobe is one of my old 782 gear web belts, which he now loves. May have to dig up some of my old ammo pouches for him to use as sporrans. These belts would look especially great with modern kilts, I think.

Happy Father's Day to everyone!
